Service & Maintenance
Once you have high-tech Cleanroom or Specialist Laboratory facilities constructed and validated it is vital that they are operational within the tight parameters specified on a 24/7 basis all year round. This can only be achieved with a strict regime of service and maintenance.
T Squared has a number of service & maintenance or "S" companies in place with offices in the centre of the area that they serve to minimise call-out times. These offices provide 24 hour call out services 365 days per year to ensure that you are kept in production at all times.
Types of Service Operation
Non Critical - here our clients will be discomforted by a break down but it will not threaten their business. Under these circumstances they be happy to call out our service engineers only when a breakdown occurs.
Preventative Maintenance - here breakdowns are to be avoided as they will affect the business operations so Service & Maintenance contracts are drawn up, commonly for a 3 year period with a number of visits programmed for each year to service the equipment with a view to avoiding breakdowns. These clients will also benefit from our 24 hour call out facility with a dedicated call out number.
Critical Facilities - here breakdowns will create major problems for the client so not only are we talking about preventative maintenance but also permanent 24 hour per day on site maintenance personnel who will carry out regular preventative maintenance work but will also react to any emergencies which may occur.
T SQUARED Service Engineers
We have Service Engineers to cater for all of the above situations with the majority being multi-disciplined to provide maximum on site efficiency. While on site the engineers are in constant contact with the Help Desk who can provide them with historical records for the plant being serviced and any technical back up required. With Health & Safety a bigger issue each year we have devised a specific H & S system to keep our engineers, our clients and the public safe with the necessary paperwork being simply generated for our clients during the site visits.
Back Up from Projects Company Design Engineers
There is very useful two way synergy which exists between our "P" major projects companies and our "S" service & maintenance companies. Having in-house Chartered Design engineers to call upon is very useful for our site service engineers when they come across difficult technical problems. Our design engineers also have a critical role to play in the original plant designs where for critical facilities N + 1 redundancy is often built in to keep facilities within their operating bands even if one unit goes down.
Head Office Command Control
All of our service & maintenance bases use the Help Desk in our Glasgow HQ building to control operations. At the heart of this is a tailor made software system that controls everything from logging the first call from the client to the issue of the final report at the end of the day. This system includes the following important features: -
- First call raises unique project number
- Project is prioritised using a colour code on the PC screen
- Quotations issued if required
- All materials and labour costs logged
- Reports can be issued to the client as the engineer leaves the site
- Site history available for all plant items under S & M umbrella
- Critical assets monitored to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for cGMP Cleanrooms and Laboratory facilities
- Tailor made reports can be provided as required
