BioReliance is a leading global provider of contract services to the biopharmaceutical industry, supporting every phase of the testing, development and manufacturing process.

Background to the project

BioReliance required a complete upgrade of their Mycoplasma Laboratory facilities, including selection of the most appropriate location for the new laboratory suite within their West of Scotland Science Park headquarters.

Scope of the project

Following the successful completion of a number of previous projects with the client, T-SQUARED were commissioned to carry out the design and build of the new laboratory facilities. The scope of work included:

• Design and build of 2 Laboratories
• Design and build of 2 Change Areas
• Design and build of common vestibule entrance area
• Validation of all Laboratories to ISO Class 7 and the Change Areas to ISO Class 8

The scope of works involved critical pressure regime requirements within both Laboratories, and the need for physical separation between the Positive Control Lab and Negative Control Lab.

Timescales

The project was completed in XX months, during which time T-SQUARED managed construction carefully in order to minimise disruption to office space adjacent to the Laboratory facilities.
