T-SQUARED has undertaken the full turnkey design, construction and validation project on behalf of Thermo Fisher, Inchinnan which includes three areas of expansion:

  • LVLM – Large Volume Liquid Media
  • AOF – Animal Origin Free Part 1
  • AOF – Animal Origin Free Part 2

Scope of the project

The scope of works undertaken by T-SQUARED includes the following:

  • Design and Installation of 1 Nr 10K, 1 Nr 2K and 2 Nr 1K vessels
  • Process design and pipework installation
  • Control Systems and Functions
  • Batch volume and level controls
  • High level switch functionality
  • Agitator speed control
  • Tank temperature control
  • Filler pump control
  • WFI system temperature
  • Structural steelwork design and install
  • Fabric Works
  • Groundworks
  • Fume Extract
  • Compressed Air
  • Plumbing and Drainage
  • Cleanroom production HVAC systems including HEPA Filtration
  • Electrical board upgrades
  • Small Power
  • Lighting and Emergency Lighting
  • Commissioning and Validation

Timescales - The project commenced in mid March and was successfully handed over to Thermo Fisher 2 weeks ahead of schedule in early August (19 week duration).
